Interesting article in The Australian today on the court judgement regarding a small shareholder in Connective. AFG had flagged to the ASX last year that their M&A deal is unlikely to go ahead and the judgement recently might seal that according to the article. AFG made another acquisition in asset finance after flagging the deal issues last year but I wonder if they will still try to acquire in the mortgage market space given the Connective issues and they seem to still have room to grow through acquisition. I wonder if this starts to put YBR into play - pure speculation on my part but with interest rates starting to move upwards and the market changing again a new round of deals might commence. IMO.
