He goes and buys Bitcoin at 15k. Sure he made a profit. But where was he when Bitcoin was 1c?
He follows this up by buying Afterpay for 38 Billion. 1 year later and it’s 20 Billion down the drain.
Square could have invested in anything. Plenty of early stage bargains out there. Diversify out their investments.
Which brings me back to OSP. Why is it not subject to a takeover yet? It’s only 8m market cap for gods sake. The main problem for the company is probably the high staff costs. The business and international supply and distribution channels are all set up. Product developed. Funding and money raised. Partnership with GE secured. Management can almost take a back seat and watch sales grow.
Or get replaced altogether. Give it to new folks who can accept 100k a year instead of 600k, but give them more share ownership to better link pay and incentives to share price performance…
