A conceptual company with 100m market cap I would argue is a lot riskier. OSP was like that 5 years ago. A lot less to gain, a lot more to lose.
Ie: 100m concept even if grow to 5 Billion market cap is only 50x appreciation. There’s a dozen stocks every year that could do that on the ASX, but certainly not from 100m base.
At 10m market cap and with the business on the ground running. I would argue 500x appreciation would come sooner than the lower 50x for the conceptual.
On the down side, there is not alot of room to move unless the company liquidates.
The reason why there is such extreme disparity between different assets is I would argue society world wide has too much in one basket. Namely BNPL, batteries, realestate, and crypto.
If you spend 5m on a hypercar, you have less money to buy a house, a holiday or something with more utillity.
