HTG’s expansion across the United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) continues with the welcome announcement of two key appointments:Martyn Hopkins, Head of Sales EMEA, andAndy Freeman, Technical Sales Manager EMEA.

Martyn has previously worked for Airbus, Inmarsat, and Thuraya, and has a wealth of experience in the maritime, government, and enterprise markets. Andy brings with him considerable technical and operational knowledge in the energy sector and in subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair services. Both Martyn and Andy are based in the UK.

“We are very excited to have Martyn and Andy’s combined capabilities add value to our global sales team,” says Chief Operating Officer, Linda Shields. “Their appointments are an integral part of our strategy to extend our presence worldwide, and scale to meet increasing demand forNodestream™ andRiS™ technology.

    WHAT'S DRIVING DEMAND IN EMEA?

We see growth in demand throughout EMEA as organisations across multiple industries look for solutions to deliver remote operations, drive efficiencies, reduce costs and lower their carbon footprint securely and reliably.

Changes to maritime regulations, particularly in terms of vessel operations visibility, and increasing pressures within the energy market are fuelling some of this growth. Major corporations are looking to use our technology to look to reduce the cost and time of needing to have specialists and technicians travel to site and onto vessels.

In the maritime industry, our partnership with Inmarsat is already giving vessel owners greater access with live HD video over lower bandwidth services such as L Band, providing the ability for instantaneous decision making without the need to send personnel to vessels. Considering the pressure on the maritime sector to reduce costs in light of global fuel price increases, this is an ideal way to minimise personnel travel and associated costs and reduce vessel downtime.

In Europe, as the conflict in Ukraine continues, there is a greater pressure on oil and gas companies to secure their supply from more traditional sources and as a result, we are seeing activities including the reopening of offshore energy fields.

These challenges are increasing the need to deploy assets quickly. Our Nodestream™ technology is easily implemented to enable commissioning and maintenance to be carried out remotely whilst eliminating the need to send subject experts to site. Similar issues apply to the renewable energy market, with fault finding and maintenance embracing our various technology solutions.

As Martyn Hopkins, our new Head of Sales EMEA explains, “The potential growth for HTG in EMEA is extremely exciting, especially as our range of solutions develop to provide even greater resources to the market. Our desire to bring in specialist resellers to enable this growth is key to the future of the group, whilst ensuring we build strong relationships with end customers and support their needs swiftly.”
