Maybe it's because your behaviour and approach is coming across in a way similar to a pretentious twat.
You want people to give up their time for you, whilst showing no common courtesy/respect towards those same people. Either that or you are just having some weird sort of fun, in which case I'm sure you are getting a bang for your buck.
You either know what you're doing, or are that ignorant you can't see how naturally abrasive your antics seem to be.
