This app was developed to take away paper style Abbey pain scale inputs and record and report at the same time.
It also has the video section which uses AI to interpret facial features, and remove subjective and varied interpretations of facial expressions from different assessor’s,most people can look at the same thing and notice different things about what they are seeing, this app gives every assessment a level playing field.
It was started by a doctor whom had worked with the abbey scale and together with Curtin University, created this to fill a much needed gap in the industry. It is endorsed by the person that created the abbey scale and she is actually on our board.
As it turns out, this type of app is more versatile than we could have imagined and will take time to catch on but IMO will become so wide spread that in years to come it will be common place in every hospital, child care, school, home care, aged care facility world wide. We have no competition. The pain face kids app alone will dwarf all the others put together, so if you are here for the long haul, I’m sure you will be rewarded.
