The 400% increase in total energy stored in batteries of the same size is good news and, one would think, very much of interest to its partner companies (such as Boeing and MagniX). In other words, taken at face value, it is significant commercial information for the Company and therefore could be material to its share price prospects.

It would be helpful indeed for investors if LIS saw fit to state the actual energy density in the before and after cases (and also other selected technical details). Is this information a secret? I would have thought, given the potential commercial significance of this information as well its potential positive share price ramifications, that it would be obvious even to LIS management that it should disclose this in its announcement. Seemingly LIS never misses an opportunity not to properly disclose relevant information to its shareholders (i.e., the actual owners of the company and the people who pay Lee Finniear's salary).
