you will rarely ever see a spike in SP when there is a bear market in place alongside the worst macros in the last 30 odd years
so in answer to your question, it's more the fact of the current market conditions rather than the manipulation
in my personal opinion i see these low prices and it excites me to accumulate, it may sound like a cliché, but, it's these times where people get wealthy, rather than rich if you know what i mean
