It seems clear that the Ex-Prime Minister Scott Morrison had the Governor General appoint him as Minister for Resources solely so he could rule on the PEP 11 as he saw fit. It was apparent to him that Resources Minister Keith Pitt intended ruling did not match his personal and political agenda.

So much for the respect for democracy, although when elected as Prime Minister by the Federal Liberal Party he appointed himself to various roles which enabled him to make decisions without the backing of cabinet

Advent Energy has a case before the courts challenging his decision to Cancel PEP 11 and go against the recommendations of NOPTA.

If Advent is successful, l this will add many millions of dollars to the already enormous Budget deficit that Treasurer Jim Chalmers is wrestling with.

Also, there is an extreme possibility that Past and current Shareholders of MEC Resources, Advent Energy, BPH Energy, Grandbridge and Bounty Oil and Gas mounting a class action against the government to recuperate the massive losses that they have incurred should this seemingly politically action taken by Morrison is upheld.

Business ventures will also be concerned with what has happened and want to see confidence restored to the market

Prime Minister Albanese now must consider the consequences, does he uphold Morrisons undemocratic position on PEP 11 or take NOPTA’s advice.

To allow Advent to continue to explore PEP 11 will have a double benefit for his government

No heaty legal bill and if gas is discovered solve the East Coast energy shortage
