Yet other people feel perfectly free to mock and question such views without venturing any information whatsoever to refute them. The suggestion is enough it seems. It's easy to scoff to make yourself appear clever, but it's harder to put pen to paper and provide particulars to back up an alternative viewpoint. Without such particulars personal value judgements can be little more than cynicism.

An ASX listed company makes claims that could cost it big time if they were demonstrably false. They can get hauled up pretty quickly when they do what looks like that (e.g. like that below). Acknowledging and respecting that status is hardly the same as regarding announcements as sacred texts. And quoting what the company has actually said and actually claimed is exactly the right way to discuss what is going on. Such statements then stand for themselves. What the company has said is what has to be evaluated. Is that what they said or not? Is that what they have done? Where do things differ? What can you conclude has to also be true if that is true, etc? That is science I think.

But if you are saying the information presented to the ASX cannot be relied upon to at least be largely true in essence, even if it may be a little stretchy when pressed, then what is the point of trusting anybody with your money in business? That is indeed the ultimate result of cynicism.
