I imagine there's a little (extra) paranoia going on in China right now around cash outflows - I read an interesting article that was discussing the alarm in China at the amount of money the ever-expanding middle and upper classes are sending out of the country by way of investments in foreign property and the corresponding efforts to curb the flow. This will be treated with similar caution and reluctance...and no doubt the tanking SP hasn't helped the "business case" doing the rounds...
