I think it is important to prop up the incomes and benefits to the managers to show confidence to the market. I dont agree the raises and additional benefits have zero performance criteria and they are not inline with the company's performance. However, it may look like they have supreme confidence in the future, delusional or otherwise is not relevant, its optics.
