I agree with you. My view is that this is way oversold. Once ANY positive news flow in (be it DOE loan finalisation, offtake agreements with some big brands, or an increase in price of synthetic graphite anode etc....), it could surge up really really fast.
I recall on 9 Jun 2020, it has gone up from $0.68/share to $1.21/share (+77%) in ONE SINGLE trading day.
Also - not to mention this time round - there are so many people shorting this thing! The surge effect would be amplified if the shorters try to beat each others to close their short positions.
IMO - people who are trying to open a short position under $1 are very very brave.
