It is strange with 3 days to go for the CR. Risks people asking him wt* they were thinking raising at such a discount and showing their displeasure. But he can't really tell them what was going on in the share register prior to the decision. Nor can he say anything about current deal discussions or interest without an announcement beforehand. So he might get punched around a bit, which doesn't look good. I'm not even sure he's allowed to tell us what the current rate of acceptance is? I hope he does - if he comes out and says they are oversubscribed and there is no shortfall, that will be positive. But my guess is that they have their 10 mill already. In that case what's the point? And if they don;t have enough applications for even 5 mill I don;t understand it as a strategy to get last minute applications. Better off calling those who have subscribed and see if they want more.
All that changes if there is an announcement tomorrow though. The fact that the meeting was announced after market closed on Friday would make a Monday morning announcement feasible with a trading halt. It's a v v long shot and the hard nosed people on this forum will roll their eyes and say I'm dreaming.
