Some interesting commentary on the side effects of Ozempic and similar drugs. Their long-term impact - particularly for weight management - is very unclear. These drugs largely work by suppressing hunger - leading to weight loss by reduction in fat, but also lean muscle tissue. The loss of lean muscle tissue can be damaging to one's metabolism and other body functions. This particularly becomes a problem when a patient comes off the drug and experiences fat gain without lean muscle tissue gain.

Net, these drugs are no panacea for obesity (closely correlated which IIH), so we're unlikely to see the market for Presedin completely wiped out. I'm looking forward to the August release of the "Consultants'" findings on Ozempic, etc.
