Inbound tourist arrivals to New Zealand remain well below the levels of 2019, so in this highly seasonal market, there may be room for growth. High airfares across the Tasman may be an inhibitor.
From the limited number I know who've recently visited Kiwiland, high costs have been mentioned. This may be good for CHL as hiring a campervan presumably has a cost advantage over staying in increasingly expensive hotels, motels and AirBnBs.
The increase in UK business may be due to some trading down from a planned holiday to Spain to instead hiring a van for UK travel. The UK economy overall has returned to very slight (nominal) positive growth but inflation is high and there's a suggestion salaries and wages have not kept pace with its equivalent of the Australian Consumer Price Index.
