I totally agree with your post QB. Based on the patents they have achieved I also believe they have already developed end market applications for the AKP MEMS. First mover advantage with any new product is generally well rewarded which is fully understood by the Chinese.
I also believe this is the main reason AKP paid in advance for an unspecified number of chips. How else would they guarantee their place in the production queue?
We should be hearing soon about the promised demo of the units to shareholders. Personally I would prefer end users are prioritised for demonstrations as that is where the revenue will come from, but it would certainly be a welcome relief to hear the results of the AKP management and development teams' expertise and commitment after such an extended period of waiting for the big event.
