Looks like there has been some delay in getting the finished chips from the 6" wafers from mid to late July, out to late August (again!) This is presumably simply a matter of things grinding along more slowly than expected. But given that this is the first time it has
ever been done, I'm not entirely horrified that that is happening. If that is what it is taking we just have to be philosophical about it. Impatience changes nothing except pushing up our blood pressure and the resultant SH groans allow traders to snap up shares from the impatient.
With first chips comes characterisation.
Those chips will be louder than Gen-I, so we could get a multi chip array demo at that time that plays live in a conference room.
Then comes first output from 8" wafers arriving as finished chips.
"... The company next significant milestone is the receipt and characterization of MEMS GEN-II chips, having an anticipated delivery of first wafers produced by an 8” facility 4-6 weeks behind the wafer / chip delivery produced by the 6” facility’s which is currently projected by the vendor to be in late August. ..."
"... Given the resounding success and reception of our first-ever public technological demonstration, management is increasingly confident that the company’s commercial objectives can commence sometime in Q4 of this year. Much will depend on the timely receipt and fabrication success of the initial MEMS-GEN-II wafers and chips. ..."
Couple this with the new director appointment and the retirement of Ian Dennis as Secretary at a convenient changeover time all round, this is all looking good.
So we are now expecting to see finished chips arriving at AP before end of Aug. That is around 4 weeks from now. With the next tranche of chips from 8" wafers mid to late October. Commercial objectives to commence thereafter within the Oct-Dec quarter. I would expect the underlying share value to hold up pretty well after people get to digest all this.
Apart from the immediate delay, again, which I have to say don't warm to all that much, I like it all.
