They desperately need money, so if the company is to continue trading, one way or the other the share price is only going to suffer.

From the perspective of other CEO’s of tech companies, why would they pay even market value to acquire a firm that clearly cannot continue to trade? If they wait for Voluntary administration they can make offers for cents on the dollar on particular IP and products rather than the whole business which, clearly sucks.
