Not sure if anyone else on here has heard that the FDA last month gave approval for the use of histotripsy a device that uses high powered ultrasound waves to destroy liver tumours. The success rates look amazing and even show some ongoing immune response where the patient's immune system may be triggered to recognise and fight future tumours. At present it's only being used in liver tumours but trials are proposed for other cancers including pancreatic . This could be good news for patients but not so good for us osl shareholders as it could make our window of opportunity smaller. Now there is no guarantee that it will be successful in treatment of pancreatic cancer but I thought that others on here may be interested in doing some reading on histotripsy as it may at some point affect our investment here.
