The difference is by changing temperature and time in the heating stage, synthetic anode can vary the crystal grain size & produce different products. That’s why there is a range in sales price.
Natural anode the grain size is fixed over millions of years so it’s more a matter of selecting the deposit to provide what a cell manufacturer is looking for.
