I wanted to touch on this: "I do believe them (for what it's worth) every time they say they are 'on track to reach 10,000t by 2030'".
This report has stated a 44% biomass growth in 3 months. The last 3 months in this report are not the warmest for the year and hence not the top growing quarter, the Sept to Dec is.
I am not clear how they have come to this conclusion without the previous quarter showing a larger biomass growth.
I understand their spawning of new fish is the the second quarter, but those small fish will not contribute greatly to the overall biomass.
Its my opinion, this is a fictitious number. The new "free range" ponds have no practical way to determine biomass accurately.
With that said, previous reports clearly indicate they are at least 3 years behind their target of 10,000 ton per year. The annual rate of growth year on year of the fish is well outside of metabolic possibilities to achieve 10,000 ton. They will be lucky to achieve 2500 ton.
