Just dialed into our chairman's AOK webinar. Not sure if he will be part of the furniture long term here but definitely has strong views that Perth Basin gas is only game in town in the domestic market. Sounds like he is confident of slotting something into AOK near term so who knows if there might be some synergy for IPB to farm into.
Im pretty sure what was ear marked to go in here that fell over at FID was the recent Perth Basin massacre that TEG/STX/ECH drilled so dodged a bullet there but gave the traders that was in it for the trade a lost opportunity to trade out. STX % was inherited from the TPD takeover and I am assuming may have been bought back into IPB? Anyway we probably would have been broke @ .2/.3c instead of .5/.6 had it gone in.
Anyway I think they'll have to try do something with IPB soon, and not necessarily limited to something O&G.
