The productions processes used to produce solar panels and grid scale batteries leave toxic radioactive waste that's destroying our environment becuase there's no recycling process so the waste is dumped in landfill. The nuclear industry manages its waste to the most stringent of standards. The waste is actually a resource.
Old style reactors burn no more than 5% of the fissile material in a fuel rod. The remaining fissile material can be reprocessed and reused using new technology. This process also reduces the half life or the residual waste from millions of years to tens to hundreds of years. Science already has the answers to solve our energy and environmental problems and Australian technolgy is at the centre of it.
