Hey Super. Yep, I engaged GIS forum members when they said they used or recommended Pointerra to others. I opened private chats and pressed for a little more detail.
First was out of WA. Pointerra was used internally to ship point clouds to clients. Worked in government. Was much better than Esri and Bentley for what was required. Highlighted it was great for viewing and shipping point clouds. Big players talked a big game but didn’t deliver what they needed.
Second was harder to tease info from. Worked out of Florida. Pointerra was utilised for a very specific step in a long workflow. Hadn’t utilised analytics. Said customer service was great. Didn’t answer some follow ups. Didn’t tell me the employer.
Neither said anything sensitive so I don’t mind sharing their platform specific feedback.
I have noticed an uptick of users discussing the platform. Not just us folk discussing from an investment perspective. That’s what we want. Network effect.
I’m sure IOs phone and email box blew up yesterday. Some will argue rightly so after the promises made in the half yearly. I’m still glass half full - 90 days is short. The enterprises are big and at times will tell the little guy to sit down. Don’t create noise while we digest the effect of big policy changes etc.
Let’s see if we can get some announcements before the next quarterly.
There’s certainly people happy to buy in the 5s btw.
