Because they want the price higher to then raise at say 5 and then can say “look! We are raising at a big discount to the current price! Super cheap! Participate!”
Theyve done this multiple times. It’s nothing new
GOAT lied in 2023 and said no CR was needed then proceeded to do this exact same thing and said “I’ll raise anytime that is possible”
They desperately need cash
