Isn't there 15 times less product to process per gram though? ie 70g of silver vs 4.6g of gold per tonne. Should have a lot to do with the costs per gram.
Anyway this recent news of gold extension means Manuka Resources is conveniently placed to not sell a single ounce of silver at the current low price. They will be selling all of it at the likely 50-100 USD price maximizing the return on the silver resource they have. Which likely means they are going to have a lot of cash in the kitty by June 2022.
If MKR said they can make a profit at $25 USD silver, then if silver is $50 USD they will have made at least $1.19 BILLION AUD profit on only the stockpile that's waiting to be processed. Not counting whatever other silver is left to be mined or found in the region. That's over 10 times their current worth. Now what if silver is $100 USD? 3.5 billion AUD or 35 times their current cap.
Any way you look at it this is like playing poker when you know all the other hands, sure you risk still getting bad cards but my god. Even small players here could potentially be turning $10000 into $300000 by July next year and all its going to take is a silver move that is becoming more likely by the week. And lets say silver price stays roughly the same and MKR keep operating barely making much money then how are you going to lose much money when the current stock price is below even sell value of the mill they own? Come on now.
Everyone needs to do a deep dive into the current silver shortages facing the world. People also need to realize how much silver that was mined in the past has been thrown away likely to never be recovered. Since 2011 (the last silver boom) another 1.5B to 2.2B ounces of silver had to be recycled to make up the lack of supply from mines. How much silver can be recycled from the past, how much silver can be thrown in a dump before the rubber hits the road? You are looking at it in 2021.
