Mid this year for gas sales is starting to look optimistic to me .
VEN was not shy about sucking up the oversubscription in the SPP .
They are run by some canny oilfield pros who know the value of cash in the cookie jar .
I would not discount your theory that they might have their eyes on something though .
The Cooper Basin has a history of the smaller companies being taken out .
Don't think they would use cash to do it though .
Cervantes announced today is exciting for both companies .
