They make a comeback after patents expired this year only to be phased out in 2 years? Doesn't that sound ridiculous?

I bet they dominate the market until solid state batteries become mass produced. They are at a cost advantage to NCA and NCM batteries and the new cell-to-pack tech should keep them there for a while.

There are reports that state that LFP will dominate out to 2030, so we'll see where it heads. It's a fascinating debate though.

Don't see this post as a knock on COB. It's great that this has major project status and has support of the federal goverment.
