I noticed this too this past 2 months. Could they have choked back production to 1. take advantage of the higher prices and 2. defer/elongate the inevitable decline curve in well production? The Middle East does this too. More income for less production. Or are they not disclosing that the well is not producing as much or has declined faster than they anticipated? I agree that the purchase of long-lead items to beat price rises is sensible.
I just sold out last week but with Venn coming on in the next few months, and an MOU in place, it seems that it might be a good time to buy back in when I've read the Quarterly Reports.
