The lake is part of the natural environment, and its not toxic.
What's not natural is filling it with with millions of tons of toxic and radioactive waste and building the embankment walls over 40 meters high. That's going to be a potential risk to humans and the environment for thousands of years and it will need to be monitored and maintained for that period.
I now right, these crazy Greenland people who oppose the mine. What's their problem...
