I think it's good that they keep the demo plant separate as it can continue to be used for process optimisations as the feedstock varies. In addition I expect that they might be able to use it to optimize the Ni Slag process.

Back in the 70's I worked in Lead smelting and we had a 1:10.000 size lead smelter for research and development(titled Smelter Research). That Smelter Research group made and saved the company millions as we optimized processes for the different ores and experimented with flame dynamics, gas injection, etc.

I am a bit disappointed that the market has not responded as positive as I thought it would.
