While this is utterly affordable, I wonder would announcing a dividend now would send a bad signal to the market (ie the acquisition strategy is loosing steam) that counters any gain from initiating a dividend flow. All options on the table seems to be keeping things in a holding holding pattern for now.
Having said that, I would be happy to see MU send everyone home except the office junior and pay out the entire production as divis until a buyer can be found. The longer it takes to find buyer(s) the more we collect at zero discount.
We will see a clearer direction once GC21 stabilises.
