You raise an excellent point here. In order to prove that the global thematic of ‘electrification-of-everything’ will create a cleaner and greener energy world and is not just a geopolitical objective to wean of fossil fuels, is more to what RNU's obligations have to be centred around.

As an Australian first mover to provide an in-country upstream and downstream operation, RNU has the added responsibility to get it right for the greater good of the industry as a whole. It’s not going to rip up the earth and sell it on with minimal consequences. That was the luxury of the pre-pandemic environment when supply chains were cost-given by the 'just-in-time' economy. However, those days are over, supply chains are being redefined, rebuilt and re-established to be far more robust and secure which means that RNU must diligently and methodically optimised its BAM study (DFS) to achieve the most efficient and economical model ever.

RNU must get it 120% right.
