Big names are interested in Reefton as it is a "known" that gold is present in the ground at economic grades.
Historical mining data confirms a plethora of high grade, narrow vein, steeply dipping, discontinuous gold bearing ore bodies.
Siren Gold's "longhole diamond drilling exploration strategy" of a sample of these orebodies has demonstrated how expensive and difficult it is to find these high grade veins/pods at depth. Paul Angus may well have plenty to say about this "phenomenon" if he could speak off the record which he obviously is not in a position to do so.
Fortunately, Siren's drilling results speak volumes. Not that the gold is not in the ground, but how difficult and expensive it is to hit these small targets. This is a known fact in the industry. A known fact to the big names and a known fact to BR, PA and now the retail shareholders of Siren Gold.
BR is well aware how to monetise the "Reefton" style orebody. When he chooses to do so is uncertain but rests with him as he has effective control of Siren Gold.
Federation Mining is the "first mover" towards next generation metal/s (Au/Sb) production on the West Coast of NZ. This competitive advantage and the mining intellectual property, social license, capital capacity (let's call it astute management) accrues as value to shareholders of Federation. It is not difficult to project how that value will be monetised.
BR is playing a very long game at Siren. It is not so clear to me how he will monetise the capital investment in Siren Gold, nor who will ultimately benefit from the "here to date" invested capital.
