Just guessing here that the cyclonic rains a way back caused a big backlog of coal in NQ and it has taken a fair while to get back to normal. Not quite there yet at Dalrymple Bay, but much improved. Gladstone (Bluff port) looks to be running back to normal. This wild card could not have come at a worse time for BCB, ramping up and needing cashflow in a good market but it looks like coming out of the ruck OK. The June quarter result is disappointing, but cash flow will now reportedly be much better with much more coking grade washed coal;. Thing is to get it to port with not fully reliable rail haulage. Does anyone have any clues what the problems are for the haulers? Driver shortage? Wagon shortage? Washaways? I'm almost thinking of going up there to ask around the locals. Not much online that I could see.
Better flow might result in slightly lower prices though for coking coal.

Lack of investment in the sector should be a strong price booster in the medium term.

Sold a bunch, disappointingly on the chart a while back but now I can substantially increase my holding the lower the price goes. Dooin the Limbo rock...!!
