The options came free with the CRs. Investors who supported the on-going funding needs of the company lost nothing on the options.
Traders who speculated on a time-bound security in the secondary market, in a start-up company subject to exogenous events that may delay its planned timeline, wear the risk themselves.
Rather than being unhappy with the performance of the company and its senior management team, speculative traders maybe should look at their own analysis for the root cause of any losses. Just sayin'.
