If you mean reliance on the USD for trade which has been weaponised for decades to bend the will of other nations, then yes, I agree.
The old HC maxim:
We need to sign deals with the Chinese to get our mine up
The new HC maxim:
The ROW needs to sign deals with us because the Chinese control the commodity/supply chain
