You definitely don’t buy a rig, you hire a drilling contractor and work with them. Hail bails do the job just efficiently. Sound proofing material around noise areas does the same too. AC drive rigs are quieter as well.
Not all farmers are the same. Most of them don’t give a rats arse, some of them can be hard to bargain with. Looking at our noise register, statistically we’ve had to deal with noise issues on 1% of all our wells drilled.
