    Marketing = awareness = more shareholders = more liquidity = ability to raise funds = higher share price.

    Companies that don't have this liquidity will find it hard to raise funds...investors are reluctant to invest if they think there is a risk that they can't sell out, which is what happens when a stock doesn't have liquidity.
