New Laws that came into affect in June this year, and others that relate to equal work for equal pay, ceasing casual positions and no sex discrimination, ALL very reasonable relating to people, but, a nightmare for employers AND prospective job applicants.
ALL of those issues are virtually eliminated by AI, so, what an incentive is that?
Now, I'm not entering into a debate about those issues and what I believe IS an OBVIOUS solution, but, it's the new reality. It's not all bad.
There is a massive shortage of employees in many areas, these will become the alternative work for those who are currently engaged in meaningless, brain dead, jobs and they can move into far more satisfying employment. And, I reckon that that too is an absolutely certain outcome.
The meaningless, brain dead, jobs WILL still be done by 100% "happy" employees and those where there is a large shortage, will also BE done by much happier PEOPLE. It CAN be a massive win/win.
