I also see that they also dropped three exploration applications in May that they applied for way back in 2011. If you cannot progress an application for 13 years I'd suggest that there are some issues in the way they are managing this company.
Blue were already in the department's sights for poor performance across their portfolio - see these FOI requests about them:

I just don't think that they are any good at this being a gas company thing.
