I think that as the plant is being sold, it means that SFR would be left with rehabilitating the site. That work might take some time. As a result, SFR will still be spending money in the district, the nearest town being Meekatharra. I take it as a sign of support for the town.
I don't read anything positive in it for AUR.
On the contrary, the expected removal of the plant and equipment will also cancel the chance of a cashed-up explorer/miner coming into the eastern Bryah Basin.
However, WGX could be interested in acquiring the non-mining lease tenements and mine gold at Old Highway for eventual processing at Fortnum - just a big guess though. If so, then it could be interested in AUR/Cu Fe's Morck Well as they have gold.
Or maybe AUR acquires Old Highway and contracts with WGX?
All guesswork though.
The crux of the matter is to ask why the MD Mike Hendriks and a former Director and still a big holder, only now bigger, Rob Martin helped buy out Investmet and Sandfire's shares.
