Good point, a hedged gold price would not be good. War, pestilence, hunger, death make a good recipe for a rising spot gold price. Also look at most airlines, they are suppose to be smashing profits yet they are all down LHA.DX (my No1 airline is down to 6USD from 12.) You would think from the prices they charge for a seat they would move north. Sorry no chance of that. Now it's rising oil prices and diversion of routes that is hampering profits. If I was to look at the big picture, I would say KCN has no issues to worry about.
