Under ASX Listing Rules and in particular Chapter 3 Continuous Disclosure:

3.1 Once an entity is or becomes aware of any information concerning it that a reasonable person would expect to have a material effect on the price or value of the entity’s securities, the entity must immediately tell ASX that information.

Drilling would certainly seem to fall under that general description, particularly when TYX deemed the Initial Drilling campaign as deserving of an announcement, and a Price Sensitive announcement at that. (18 November 2022)

The announcement precedent was set by TYX, not the shareholders, and a formal announcement that drilling has started should therefore have been made, whether anyone likes it or not.
