I think it’s a pretty common thing for cautious investors to flee when CEO changes… tendency for them to “wash out” as much bad news as they can immediately and give themselves a low baseline (blaming last CEO) from which they can show big improvement.
Out of interest I saw this so many times in my career with safety stats. New Safety manger comes in and claims the last safety manager was discouraging honest reporting… a cycle that would repeat every few years
