Many many years ago (2003-4) I owned shares in Gympie Gold as part of a portfolio. Awoke one day when my 5000shares @ 50c disappeared and
reappeared as worth zero because its parent company had a coal mine fire in Newcastle and went belly up. I am still scarred and wouldn't want to go through this again.....
