Can you explain why major MV manufacturers are bringing out an increasing range of EVs? Most owners of EVs will never buy another ICE vehicle because of the superiority of the EV. This trend will only increase in time.
The fact is that the Cobalt component of quality EV batteries still optimises the efficiency of the battery and therefore results in the highest quality battery. Could be many years before cobalt is replaced by more advanced technology, if ever.
I suggest you go and down ramp elsewhere.

Agree with your thoughts vein1 ,,,,, High density EV batteries that are used for power and range need the cobalt component to guard against heat buildup , lithium ion batteries have these qualities. There is a variety of cheap batteries available for city travel but when long distance travel is imperative there is no substitute. COB is in a sweet spot with the WA Government supportive in promoting the Kwinana Iwatani processing plant to proceed. With the shut down of Cosmos mine IGO faces writing down more than 90%of the $1.3 billion it paid for Western Areas nickel assets 19 months ago. With all the changes going on in the State with nickel mines it may be beneficial to COB to access to materials to process the ore with patented new technology that will fit perfectly into the new battery supply hub being highlighted by the Government IMO
