The loan amount with Chimaera is mounting and the interest expense alone is close to $100K per quarter.
They need to raise capital at some point. Don't be surprised if some people know the cap raise is coming, are selling their shares now, pushing the VWAP lower, and then getting the opportunity to buy back their shares at a 10-20% discount to VWAP in the Cap raising. Wouldn't be surprised if Chimaera do a debt for equity swap as part of the cap raising. With all the negativity on electric cars, lithium prices, going around at the moment it may also be prudent to do the cap raise sooner rather than later, especially considering QGL has been largely immune to the negativity to date. One would assume if Chimaera did do a debt for equity swap they would be hanging on to those shares. Some of the sophisticated investors as always will be in it for a quick buck. At least with Chimaera getting a big chunk of the shares, capping for a quick buck by some of the sophisticated investors would be greatly reduced
