Yes, rebar inventories in China have been building for the last couple years. China have(are?) implemented supply policies to tonnage per month to manage the effects to the global market.
The beautiful thing about a global economy is when someone isn't doing so well, someone else is on the rise. India is forecast up 10% in their steel demand for 2024.
